Hood Trading Desk · Last updated 10 September 2026

The short version

Hood Trading Desk does not collect your data. It has no accounts, no servers operated by us, and no analytics. The app is a client for a server that you run on your own machine, and everything it displays comes from that server.

What the app stores, and where

DataWhere it livesSent to us?
Your desk's address and access token The iOS Keychain on your device No — never leaves your device
Trading data (positions, balances, agent activity) Your own server. The app displays it and keeps nothing. No
Interface preferences Your device No

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app asks Apple for a push token and sends it to your own desk so that server can alert you. Delivery goes through Apple's Push Notification service and Expo's push relay, which are the standard transport for iOS notifications. We do not receive the token and operate no service that stores it. If you never enable notifications, no token is ever created.

What we do not do

Network connections

The app connects only to the desk address you enter. It makes no other network requests, other than the push registration described above when you enable notifications.

Your control

Signing out removes the stored address and token from your device's Keychain. Deleting the app removes everything the app has stored. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on request — but you are welcome to ask, and we will confirm the same.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this URL with a new date above.
